GENEVA ENGLISH DRAMA SOCIETY - GEDS

The Geneva English Drama Society has been an integral part of the cultural life in the Geneva area since its founding in 1933. It is one of the oldest English-language theatre groups on the continent..

Its many theatrical triumphs over the years have been possible only with the talent and dedication of countless volunteers; some are experiences theatre professionals, and others are totally new to the theatre. GEDS is proud to be part of Geneva's cultural life.

The Geneva English Drama Society is for everyone interested in: the theatre, making new friends, intercultural co-operation, learning new things, and having fun.

GEDS is an active society for people with all kinds of interests and talents: acting and audio - sewing and sets - carpentry and canapes - lighting and learning - make-up and management - props and promotion, to name just a few. The friends you make and the fun you have are directly related to the time and effort you put into the Society.

English isn't your mother tongue? We welcome everyone. The cross-section of our audiences and membership reflects the diversity of Geneva. Working together on a production can be a rewarding experience; on stage we often need a variety of accents.
