GENEVA ENGLISH DRAMA SOCIETY
GASLIGHT, by Patrick Hamilton. Directed by Frances Favre
This Victorian thriller is set in the late 1800s. A murder was committed several years earlier in the Manningham's house. Strange noises can be heard, objects disappear and Mrs. Manningham is afraid she is going mad. A retired police detective is bent on finding the murderer and believes he has succeeded.
This play was a West End hit in the late 1930s and the 1945 Oscar award-winning film version starred Charles Boyer and Ingrid Bergman. Now GEDS offers you its own spine chilling production!
