GOODNIGHT DESDEMONA (GOOD MORNING JULIET) by Ann-Marie MacDonald
This hilarious, if somewhat revisionist, view of the BARD revolves merrily (and in iambic pentameter) around Constance Ledbetter, an assistant university professor. Sho believes that two of the greatest tragedies were actually meant to be funny and, finding herself suddenly in the middle of the plays, she intervenes at crucial moments, changing the course of events. But the course of events quickly turns against her, and she embarks on a quest for truth as well as a journey of self-discovery where the people she meets look suspiciously like some of the folks from back home.
