PLAYREADING - BROADWAY BOUND
This charming commedyabout youthful ambition and parental regret is set in late 1940s' Brooklyn and forms the third part of Neil Simon's autobiographical trilogy. While their parents struggle with domestic conflict, the two brothers try to launch careers as professional comedy writers. It is only when the radio broadcasts a sketch based on their family conflict that they are Broadway bound. (This play is a natural follow-up to GEDS' very successful production last season of Brighton Beach Memoirs and it is hoped will feature the same cast.)
