Playreading: VITA AND VIRGINIA, by Eileen Atkinst
NB this playreading will not take place at the usual venue of the English Church Crypt but in the garden of members.
Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West first met in 1922, aged 40 and 30 respectively. Over the next twenty years, until Virginia's suicide in 1941, the extraordinary relationship between them was charted in their letters, providing a remarkable insight into their love affair. .. Vita revered Virginia's genius, Virginia was dismissive of Vita's literary skills but admired her aristocratic, mature confident style.
